Play List

So what is everyone playing today/this week/this summer?

My own planned Play List currently consists of UFC Undisputed on 360, Plants VS Zombies on my Netbook, and constantly checking Mafia Wars on Facebook in between the two.

I recently finished the Godfather 2, and enjoyed it quite a bit. You know you liked a game a lot when you are sad it is over, even though I put 17 or so hours into it.

When the girlfriend comes home from work tonight I think we will get a pizza for dinner and watch the last disc of The Sopranos season five, followed up by starting Naruto Volume 12 unless there is something good on the DVR.

As far as my long term summer plans are concerned, my backlog is deep enough to keep me busy:

Condemned 2
Tomb Raider Underworld
Penny Arcade Episode 2
Finishing Naruto Rise of a Ninja
Finishing Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts

I also want to go back and finish my second play through of Fallout 3, and pick up all three DLC packs.

Back to my question, what is everyone else doing??

I'm going to try and win my Welterweight title back...

Post Graduation Shenanigans

It has been two full weeks since graduating with my Bachelors degree. Luckily for me, I have already been accepted into a graduate program for my Masters, along with acquiring a Graduate Assistant position to pay for tuition, along with a monthly stipend.

Unfortunately I had to train my replacement for my student worker tech position for next year, and now I am out of a summer job. While I've only actually put one application in so far (Best Buy, no word yet) summer work seems to be all dried up in my college town.

In a turn of events, my girlfriend was able to secure a summer job as a cashier, and has been working quite a bit lately. This reversed our positions from the past two semesters, her taking a light class load and not working, while I worked and had a full class load among numerous out of class activities and projects.

I have to say it is nice to have the apartment to myself for a change. :)

In the mean time I've decided to catch up on my backlog of games, dvds, and reading that I have accumulated over the past year. While I continue to look for employment, of course...

Lock 'N Load

Well it looks as if this blog never received the make-over I promised, nor have I even been active lately. Pathetic. I am going to add some spice to this bland mess, and show off my new Blood Elf Warlock. Yes, indeed I have returned to World of Warcraft...

These silly pictures are just here to show off the different robes I have already received during my regular level progression. He is now currently 21 and just made it into the Undercity. *sigh* Back to the original content already..

Hopefully with the new easy leveling I should hit the good stuff in no time, although it is anything like my previous two characters (who are 60 and 59 respectively) he will just sit there once I do make it. Lets try not to let that happen this time!

I will have a real update soon, with some actual action shots of the game, plus more screens from other things I am playing. Maybe I'll even get around to messing with the blog outlay itself, I am over due to remove the EQ2 head picture haha.

Spare Change.

Well, any sort of change really. Change to this blog is what I am talking about, because it needs it badly. The first thing to change is the rate at which I post, which I know has been completely stagnant lately.

News will be brief, I recently beat Half Life 2, which is quite a feat considering I have owned the game since it was originally released. After buying the Orange Box and getting Episodes 1 and 2, I decided I had probably get around to playing it, and let me tell you I wish I had finished it the first time around.

The game certainly starts slow, and then it has plenty of tedious points in the middle. The boat ride, the car ride, etc. Fortunately the great points outweigh the others; Ravenholm, and basically every bit of the second half of the game was incredibly enjoyable, especially once you make it into the citadel and the end of the game. Simply Amazing. What excites me most is that I have heard Episode 2 is even better.

Portal is another game I can't wait to get into, but I really want to have the time to sit down and play it all the way through in one sitting. I'm hoping to get the maximum experience from it, and I know if I stop and start over and over I just wont.

I have been getting into Team Fortress 2 quite a bit though, mostly play as Engineer and Demoman. I plan on writing up a larger post on this game some other time, but I just wanted to mention that anyone who has not yet played it should really just go out and buy the Orange Box (PC version preferably.) I haven't touched Halo 3 at all lately, and really don't have the urge to play it at all because of the OB.
If I didn't have enough to play as it is, I just received a Wii for my birthday (which happens to be on Monday, the 5th!) So now I have another console to spend tons of money on.. Unfortunately I haven't had any time to really get into it yet, due to just getting back to campus and turning straight to the Colts/Patriots game (Go Colts!) I do plan on talking about it quite a bit once I get a chance to play, I picked up Resident Evil 4 Wii edition to go along with it, yet another game I am late to the party for.

Oh well, better late than never right?

Would You Kindly...

...Encourage me to blog more??

No, I know, it's no ones fault but my own. Not only have I not been motivated to write, but I've honestly had nothing fancy to talk about. I have officially given up on Everquest 2. After perusing around the board I realized that the beta for RoK had actually started, they just failed to let me know. Sure enough I slid right in after downloading the client, and I experienced my life as a Sarnak.

While I felt a certain disgust as I personalized my multicolored dragon-thing, due to my strong oath like binding to my Iksar characters, I couldn't help but be jealous of the detail they put into the new race. As much as I dislike the Sarnaks, they look AMAZING.

I'm not sure what I can say because of the NDA, and I am certainly not going to throw up any screens, but the beginning area is really pretty. I took some time to marvel at the flocks of birds you can disturb on the shore, and the waves crash and foam up in the ocean, all things that were shown way back when.

Truthfully I didn't spend more than a half an hour running around in game before I quit and uninstalled it. The beta ran choppy, and that just added to my lose of interest in the game. Who knows, maybe I'll be back before to long.

Halo 3 was a quick play through for myself and a good friend as we drank and played split screen. It was fun while it lasted, and I've jumped in a few games online, but honestly I am just not feeling it.

I went through a daze wondering what to play recently, when I saw that Bethesda released what I claim to be the last Down load content that they will be releasing for Oblivion. While this is disappointing, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were offering the content for free for the first week. I then proceeded to download it on my 360, just in case I get my hands on another copy of the 360 game, and on the PC, where I currently do own the game. Unfortunately for me, my saves are on the 360, and I don't want to go through the hassle of moving it over. So instead I searched around online for some of the best mods, and so far I've downloaded two. Qarls Texture mod III, which makes the game look MUCH better, and another content mod which I wont get into to much detail yet. I managed to put six hours into my new character, but I've recently become distracted by other things..

More on that tomorrow!

Only gets worse.

You know something is wrong when the Xfire client says I haven't played a PC game in the past week, let alone having 13 days go by without blogging.

Sadly I even got to the point of not looking at my own blog, let alone other's, for days at a time. Life has just gotten to busy for me lately, and I just don't have the time to dedicate towards an MMO. I believe EQ2 is going to have to be put on the back burner for awhile, but I am going to do my best to visit the blogs I still love to read, and even try to scrounge up something interesting to write here.

Until I am back in Norrath, I hope to catch some of you playing other online games, I know I am going to be dabbling in Halo 3 when I get the chance. :)
